Biceps tendon rupture

Biceps tendon rupture

The biceps tendon grips at the upper part of the radius. An injury of the tendon starting point, most often occurs during hard work or lifting heavy weight. It is most common with middle aged men. The patient usually notices that something has ripped. A hematoma appears and sometimes, a deformity of the biceps muscle on the upper arm can be noticed. In active people, treatments are performed surgically; the tendon is put back and fixed at its starting point.
